Two apologies: firstly about the timing of this issue. Delivery of the mid-December issue was held up for nearly a fortnight by the dispute on the railways and the government’s 10-day shutdown of almost all industry. Under these circumstances, we thought it best to delay the present issue also by a fortnight.
Secondly, there was a small proofreading error in the article on oil in the mid-December issue which might have confused a few readers. ‘Waste production – production that serves only to expand production further’ (page 17) should have read ‘waste production is production other than that which serves to expand production further’.
