Unified Action of Students and Workers

For more than 15 days, the students have led an extraordinary struggle against the Gaullist regime. Against police repression, they have firmly shown their refusal of reforms granted by a power at bay and their wish to wrest from them establishment of a real student power in the faculties.

THIS COMBAT IS ALSO OURS!

• because the student’s struggle against the bourgeois university is the same as that of the workers against the capitalist regime;
• because the powerful worker’s movement of the past few days would not have happened without the student’s revolt;
• because a student’s defeat would give strength to the power structure to strike all of the workers;
• because the absence of workers at student protests hands the students over to the fury of police brutality
• because only the unified action of students, workers and farmers can allow the popular movement to realize its final goal: the establishment of a power in the service of workers.

This is why the Parti Socialiste Unifié has sustained without reserve, since the beginning of the movement, all of the demonstrations organized by the U.N.E.F. the union representing the students in struggle.

This is why it calls on all workers to participate Monday may 27 in the demonstrations organized by the UNEF and in this way to make of the day a demiontration of the unity of studets and workers in the common struggle against the regime
