Documents of the 3rd Conference of Canadian Marxist-Leninists on the International Situation

Montreal, September 9, 10, 11, 1977

Joint Declaration

On September 8th, 1976, the international proletariat and peoples of the world lost one of their greatest proletarian leaders, brilliant successor to Marx, Engels, Lenin and Stalin, comrade Mao Tse Tung.

Today his life is linked with the history of the great Chinese revolution as Lenin’s life is linked with the October revolution of the Russian proletariat.

All Marxists-Leninists of the world, all proletarians, all peoples of the world, can and must draw inspiration from his gigantic work and his remarkable qualities.

The Canadian proletarian revolution will only be fully victorious if its most vigilant and steadfast sons and daughters draw without hesitation in the historic experience of the international communist movement, and particularly on Mao Tse Tung’s example whose whole life’s work is the proof of his loyalty to Marxist-Leninist principles and of his capacity to apply them fully to the Chinese revolution.

With all the real communists and all the revolutionary forces of the world, the following groups honour Mao, one of the greatest proletarian leaders of our times.

WORKERS, OPPRESSED PEOPLES AND NATIONS, UNITE! LONG LIVE PROLETARIAN INTERNATIONALISM! LONG LIVE WORLD PROLETARIAN REVOLUTION!
