“Year of Organization” Compañero Guillermo Lorentzen Havana
Compañero,
I have received your letters and I thank you for them. I was born in Argentina, I fought in Cuba, and I began to be a revolutionary in Guatemala.
This autobiographical synthesis will perhaps serve as some justification for my interference in your affairs.
In Guatemala the guerrillas are fighting. The people have to some extent taken up arms. There is only one possibility of slowing the development of a struggle that shows all signs of developing toward a Cuban- or Algerian type revolution.
Imperialism has that possibility, although I am not sure if they will bother to use it: “free elections” with Arévalo. That is how we see the matter. Can you think it is otherwise?
A revolutionary greeting,
Patria o Muerte
Venceremos
Commander Ernesto Che Guevara
