Resolution On CPC History

(1949-81)

Introduction

An important document for the understanding and study of major issues in China.

The assessment of the history of the Communist Party of China since the founding of the People’s Re-public of China, the ‘cultural revolution” from 1966 to 1976, Mao Zedong’s historical role and Mao Zedong Thought and the achievements of the People’s Re-public of China is an important issue that people at home and abroad are very much concerned about. The Resolution on Certain Questions in the History of Our Party Since the Founding of the People’s Re-public of China adopted by the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC gives authoritative answers to these questions. The resolution also affirms the road that China has been taking in its socialist modernization and points out the orientation of its cause of socialism and the Party’s future work.

This booklet also includes CPC Chairman Hu Yaobang’s Speech at the Meeting in Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China and the Communique of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
