The present English edition of V. I. Lenin' s Collected Works is a translation of the fourth, supplemented Russian edition prepared by the Institute of Marxism Leninism, Central Committee of the C.P.S.U.

Necessary amendments have been made to some of the texts and notes in accordance with the fifth edition of the Collected Works of V. I. Lenin: some further editorial comments have also been added.
